How to apply for Till Number for your business
  1. Get and fill the application forms from Safaricom. You can download the forms from the Safaricom website.
  2. Individual or Business KRA PIN
  3. A copy of business registration or business permit.
  4. A copy of your National IDs of persons registering for the Till Number
  5. A copy of Utility bill or Business photo. This is to confirm the existence of the Business.
  6. Letter from Bank confirming Bank details or Canceled cheque

Upon completion of your application, sign and submit your application forms with relevant documents to your nearest Safaricom Shop. The submission is completely free. If your application is in order it will take 48 hours for your M-Pesa Till number to be processed.

The application process for Lipa na M-Pesa PayBill number is almost similar to the Till Number application.

Lipa Na M-Pesa PayBill Number Application Process

  1. Fill the application forms
  2. Get a copy of your business permit License
  3. A copy of your National ID/Military Service Number/Passport
  4. A copy of Utility Bill or Business Photo to affirm the existence of the business
  5. Canceled cheque or letter from Bank proving your bank details as filled in the form.

After filling the forms and with all the relevant documents, submit your application to the nearest Safaricom Shop. It will take 48 working hours before your Lipa Na M-Pesa Pay Bill number is processed.
