Mpesa Services To Be Interrupted For 5 hours

Safaricom has today announced that Mobile money cash transfer service, M-Pesa, will be unavailable on Thursday, June 18 between midnight (0000hrs) and 5am.

In a statement send to the public, the telecommunications company says the M-Pesa interruption is occasioned by a need to undertake maintenance of the Companies systems from time to time.

In the statement, the company has notified the public that all M-Pesa services including airtime purchase, shall be temporarily unavailable

“During the maintenance, all M-Pesa services, including airtime purchase, shall be temporarily unavailable. The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our customers,” said Safaricom in press release Wednesday, June 17

M-pesa customers are therefore advised to make prior arrangements on transactions so as to avoid the inconvenience.
