For all applying for the Provisional Drving Licence, applicants could get provisional driving licence for three months after filling in all the information correctly and make electronic payment.
The applicant shall enroll in a licenced driving school and apply for the license through the NTSA online platform.
The holder of a Provisional Drving Licence shall not be allowed to a drive on a road unless he’s in the company of a qualified driver holding a valid driving licence for the class or classes the applicant has been permitted to drive.

Step By step Provisional Driving Licence Application Process
You will need to have an active TIMs account before you can be able to apply for the provisional Driving License.
Follow the below steps to apply for a provisional driving license.
Step 1:
Log in to your NTSA TIMS account. Locate the “Driving Licence” Option in your dashboard
Step 2
You will be directed to license application dashboard where you will be able to choose the type of licence you wish to apply. Select the “Application for PDL” option
Step 3
Read the instruction that follows and then “Click Next”
Step 4
You will be directed to a payment page. You will be required to pay Ksh 650 for the application. Follow the payment steps provided.
Step 5
Complete the final step to generate your provisional Driving License
Step 6
Download and print your Provisional driving Licence. A copy of the licence will remain in your account for future reference or print out.

1.Apply for approved provisional driving licence with validity of three months so as to participate in driving school training and learning, and apply for corresponding type of vehicle.
2.After application is approved, waiting for the notification of physical check organized by testing centre.
3.Those who passed physical check will participate in driving school training and apply for test booking.
4.Attend test followed by booked time and place and staff in test center will give the outcome of test on site.
