HOW TO APPLY FOR TSC EMPLOYMENT- ALL REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS
TSC regularly announces teaching vacancies for qualified candidates to apply. Teachers who are Holders of P1 Certificate, Diploma or Degree are usually asked to make the application in their respective area of teaching after TSC has advertised for the recruitment.

Primary School Application Process For TSC Employment
Requirements For P1 vacancy Application
For one to be able to apply for P1 vacancy one must have the below documents and meet the minimum requirements.
- Must be Kenyan Citizen
- Must be 45 years of age and below
- Must have original ID
- Must have original professional and academic certificates( Leaving Certificates Included)
- Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission
- Official Application Letter addressed to the TSC county director
Application Process
With all the above mentioned documents in place, present them to the education office in your sub county. From here, your documents will be verified and you will fill a form detailing your particulars and phone number. You will leave the photocopies of your documents behind and go home with the originals.
That’s it, you are good to go. If your Name is shortlisted, you will be contacted through the phone number you provided. You will be notified of the interview date so as you can prepare in advance.

Application Process
Diploma and degree holders for secondary school applications are required to submit their applications to the board of management of the school where a vacancy has been advertised and submit a copy of the application to the TSC County Director.
Note: TSC application is usually free. There are no charges imposed to applicants who are seeking the job vacancies.
What To Expect During the Interview
If you are shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview. For the P1 position, the interview process involves verifying your original documents. Your cumulative points are confirmed and if you rank high you will be considered for the available positions. Successful applicants are usually issued with posting letters before they can join their working station.
TSC also stipulates that, you can be posted to any school in the country. Applicants do not have the power to choose their preferred working station. However for the for the Diploma and degree applicants, you will fill the vacancy at the school you were interviewed. It should be noted that sometimes the interview are done in clusters but not at each school. For this case, you will be posted at the school that had the vacancy you applied for.
For the diploma and degree applicants, you will be interviewed by the recruiting panel at the school you made the application. Only competitive candidates during the interview are normally considered for the chances available.
