A Man Travels on A Bicycle All The Way From Butere To Kabarak For Moi Burial
It took Nathan Ambuti 4 days traveling on his bicycle to get to Nakuru a head of Moi’s Burial to be held on Wednesday 12th February. Nathan Ambuti who resides from Butere, Kakamega said regardless of the challenges he faced, he had attend the burial ceremony of Mzee Moi.
“When I heard of Mzee Moi’s death I was in Trans Nzoia. I had to reschedule my plans and set off for Kabarak to attend my friend’s Former President Moi’s burial”
On arrival the 76 year old was turned back by the security officer manning the compound. There was an outcry on the internet and Gideon Moi had to intervene before the man was allowed in.
It was Lex Ander from Gideon Moi’s Communication team who caught up with him before giving him a warm welcome.
“And we finally traced the man and took him to Mzee’s home to say pole! whoever highlighted, thank you. The old man is very happy,” he wrote.

Nathan Ambuti could not hide his joy after he was allowed in Mzee Moi’s compound and signed the condolence book.
“I had a rough time cycling all the way from Butere, I slept on veranda at night and even contracted Malaria.But i feel okay now” said Ambuti.
Though tired and exhausted Mr Ambuti felt relieved when he received Gideon Moi’s message delivered by Lex welcoming him to Mzee Moi’s Kabarak home.
The late Mzee Moi will be barried at his Kabarak home on Wednesday 12th.
