This Is The Funeral Program For Moi Send Off

As the country continue to mourn the departed second president of Kenya Daniel Arap Moi, the program for his send off has been revealed. Mzee Moi passed on on 4th of Tuesday February 2020 at Nairobi Hospital. This came after being under medication for the last 3 months at the Nairobi hospital.

The death of the former president was announced on Tuesday by president Kenyatta through a statement while on his way to the United States of America. Tuesday 11th has been declared as a public holiday. This was announce on Thursday 6th February by the head of public service Mr. Joseph Kinyua.

Mr Kinyua also announced Tuesday as the day the National Memorial Service will be held at Nyayo stadium. “The funeral service will be inter denominational led by the African Inland Church (AIC)” The remains of president Moi will then be taken to Kabarak where he will be laid to rest on Wednesday 12th February.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to lead Kenyans in the send off of the former president. Considering the fact that he held one of the highest position in Kenyan leadership, former president Daniel Arap Moi will be accorded a state funeral.

Moi goes down in history of the country as the longest serving president. For 24 years he was the president Moi made friends and foes and therefore he was loved and hated in equal measures.
