A former Bahati producer at the EMB records Geoffrey Mutuku has shocked many with his innovation of a wireless Charger. The Unique wireless charger is quite different from the ones developed by giant telecommunication companies as it allows you to charge your phone wirelessly as you move around with it.
Mutuku who studied music production at Kenyatta university says his dream and passion has always been in electrical engineering. Mutuku says as a kid, he would always dis mantle electrical appliances from his parents house out of curiosity and try different things out.
It is after the closure of the EMB records that Mutuku put his electrical knowledge to task and decided to come up with what he calls a real wireless charger.
Unlike the ordinary wireless chargers that requires you to put your pone on a pad, Mutuku’s innovation allows you to move around with the phone as it charges.
The concept behind his innovation is the use of magnetic induction and radio frequency. It involves plugging the converter transmitter to the power source and then plugging a power receiver to the phone.
The two gadgets are wirelessly connected using the radio frequency that allows power to flow and charge the connected devises.
Mutuku while demonstrating his concept to NTV reporter, showed how a phone can be wirelessly be charged while on the go. He says one can move with their charging phone within a radius of 8-9 metres and still stay connected to the power source.
He says he plans to develop the concept more and commercializes is productions. He dreams of a life where people can be able to charge their devices wirelessly.
