Volunteer to be infected with Coronavirus and get paid Kshs. 400,000
As the researchers work at a neckbreaking speed to find the vaccine of the deadly coronavirus that has claimed over 3000 lives, on offer of £3,500 equivalent to Kshs. 400,000 has been tabled for volunteers willing to participate in the research. The Daily Star has reported.
According to the report 24 volunteers from East Landon will be infected by a weak form of the virus and shall be quarantined at the Queen Mary BioEnterprises Innovation Center in Whitechapel. From here they will be monitored on how their bodies responds to the vaccine. This will help to ascertain whether the vaccine is worth being rolled out.

All the participants will be subjected to a number of precautionary measures while the doctors and nurses handling them will be required to wear protective gears.
The Coronavirus vaccine jab will be administered inform of a jab. This is was developed by the Hvivo company. These are the preliminary trials to test and see whether the vaccine will work.

But before this is done, the United Kingdom Medicines and Healthcare products regulatory Agency will have to agree on Hvivo’s planned experiment before being administered
As the UK continues with the research, the US biotech firm Moderna has shipped experimental Coronavirus vaccine to US government research Institution. The experimental vaccine may however be ready for use in a years’ time if it works.
Here in the country, the ministry of health continues to be on a high alert to curb any coronvirus incident should it arise.
