Two million cash bail it is for Jowie!
Joseph Irungu Alias Jowie who is in trial over the murder of business woman Monica Kimani was today released on a 2 million shillings cash bail. He has a option of a Sh. 3 million bond.
While delivering the ruling at Milimani law courts, Justice James Wakiaga noted that circumstances had changed and that there were no compelling reasons at the moment to deny him bail. He said that witnesses that were under witness protection had testified.
Other conditions for Jowie’s release are that he reports to his local chief once every month and also that he does not comment on the matter in the social media or anywhere.
Jowie was charged with former presenter Jacky Maribe. He has been in custody since his arrest in 25 September 2018. Previous bail applications have been declined by the court.
