Schools to reopen on 4th January | All the details you need to know

It is now officially all schools will reopen on 4th of January countrywide. The Ministry of education through Education CS Prof George Magoha has made the announcement and released the academic calendar for 2021 academic year.

CS Magoha further announced that all four-year-olds will join Pre Primary One (PP1) in July 2021

The CS announced that children who are currently in PP1, PP2, Grade 1,2, 3 and Class 5,6, and 7 and Forms one, two and three will start their second term on January 4 and end it on March 19.

He further announced that all learners apart from those in class eight and form four will then take a seven week holiday to pave way for the national examinations. In July 2021, Grade four pupils will transition to grade five.

For smooth completion of third term, grade four and incoming Form One students who are currently in class eight will stay at home as other learners complete their third term.
