KNH Dismisses Coronavirus Outbreak Rumors
In its statement ,the management of Kenyatta National Hospital had termed the rumors of a confirmed Coronavirus patient as false news.
For the better part of the day, rumors of a confirmed coronavirus case in the country were circulating. It had also been reported that Health CS had called for a crisis meeting. All that would later turn out to be false news as the hospital has dismissed the news.
It is reported that one person who had arrived in the country from Dubai exhibited signs of high fever. This prompted doctors at KNH to carry out tests on the man. The results would later turn out to be negative.

The country has been on high alert ever since a Chinese plane with 239 passengers arrived in the country. The passengers on board were asked to self quarantine themselves for a period of 14 days. This sparked uproar among Kenyans who felt the government was taking their welfare and health for granted.
The Coronavirus has claimed over 2800 lives with over 80,000 being infected.
The World Health organization had expressed its fears of the virus spreading to countries with poor health system. With Kenya seen not enough prepared, the act of allowing the Chinese airline in the country is seen as a gamble by the government with the health of its citizens.

More than 38 Nations have reported cases of confirmed Coronavirus infections. With Wuhan the epicenter of the disease being lock down, the virus is fast spreading to more nations.
