After 3 suspected Coronavirus patients were quarantined in Kakamega early this week, their samples were taken for testing. The 3 patients from Kakamega had exhibited Corona like symptoms. This caused a lot of panic among the health officials and the residents.
Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said the 3 people were in isolation after exhibiting coronavirus symptoms.
Announcing their test results today, the governor revealed that they have tested negative and are being closely monitored by medical officers.
The three will have to self isolate until the coronavirus incubation period is over.
This comes just some few days after the governor imposed some stringent measures to curb possible infection and spread of the virus in the county.
Among the measures he imposed includes closure of market centers by next week. Oparanya had also order for dead bodies to be picked from the mortuaries. This forced families of the deceased individuals to organize for immediate burial arrangement for their dead ones.
