36 year old man tests positive for Coronavirus in Uganda
Uganda confirms 1st case of Coronavirus. The confirmed case is a 36 year old Ugandan male who arrived from Dubai at 2:00am on Saturday 21 March 2020 aboard Ethiopian airlines. He presented with symptoms of high fever and poor appetite before he was isolated.
His high temperature of over 38 degrees Celsius prompted the medical doctors at Entebe International airport to carry out further tastes. These testes would later test positive for the deadly Coronavirus.
“The confirmed case had traveled to Dubai on the 17th of March, four days ago for business purposes. At the time of his travel he was in good health,” Dr Aceng said Sunday.The man is under quarantine at Entebe Grade B hospital and is receiving medical attention.

On Saturday, President Yoweri Museveni had announced that Uganda was closing all its border points to prevent people from crossing into the country in a bid to contain the spread of the coronavirus. He also ordered closure of entertainment points and schools beginning this week.

“Humans crossing into Uganda from the different border points are prohibited going forward. This is until we find coordination at the East African level. Please stay where you are. We are not against anyone but this is about manageability,” President Museveni stated
