The Jubilee Secretary general Raphael Tuju has been airlifted to Karen Hospital from Kijabe hospital. At Kijabe Mr Tuju underwent an emergency surgery to stop active bleeding in his abdomen.
The black prado he was travelling in is reported to have been badly damaged at the front part. Reports from the scene indicates that his vehicle collided with a matatu and heavy smoke was sported at the scene. Among the occupants of the car were his driver and bodyguard who had also been taken to Kijabe Mission hospital for first aid and preliminary care.
The Cabinet Secretary without portfolio had complained of chest pain after the accident. His driver suffered a fracture on his right leg while the bodyguard is nursing a fractured arm.
