My fruit vending business bought me a Toyota Prado, built my own house still with the business
My name is Akoth from Nairobi County. A lot of people might wonder how a business such as fruit vending can move you miles in life. I started vending fruits in a kiosk in Dandora area in Nairobi. It was a business that had a lot of challenges as at times one would not even make a single sale from the products.
In life at times having hope and faith is always an important aspect of life since that was the only thing I was living with at that particular moment.
The business would have worrying patterns where at some point I would make little profit while at some point I would have nothing from the business as well. Most of the times I would do some research especially from the internet on how I would improve my business to a high much level.
Seeking some business consultancy from various people was not only expensive but also I was so much scared of fraudsters who claimed to be top business consultancy agents while in real sense they were conmen. Even though I had established a good rapport with my clients still I was not making that target profit as I thought my business would be giving each month.
I went deep and did some research on how to best do my business. I studied the local market and how to get steady supply of fruits. Slowly by slowly I started gaining customer trust. My services were great and may customers found a reason to look for my services.
I also ensured that I charge my customers fairly, that way I was able to compete with other fruit vendors in the market. Over time my customer base grew overwhelmingly and profit was flowing in
