Majority of Kenyans Prefer These Three Women For DP Position- TIFA Poll
As political campaigns gain momentum in Kenya, Women are among the most considered politicians that have shown interest in the deputy president position. Both the two popular camps the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza factions have shown interest to work with women and have both championed women in high governance positions.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua and Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu are the most preferred female politicians to deputise the leading presidential candidates in the August 9 general election.
In a research outcome released on Monday by TIFA, Waiguru is the most preferred running mate for Deputy President William Ruto at 15 per cent while 13 per cent suggested Karua as Raila Odinga’s deputy.
“The question of whom both will pick for the coveted position of deputy president is something that is most likely keeping the two politicians (Raila and Ruto) awake at night,” TIFA stated.
