List of Phones Compatible with Safaricom e-SIM
Safaricom recently launched its e-SIM and this will relieve its customers from having to carry with them the tangible SIM cards.
While the news comes as a big step in the right direction, not all Safaricom customers will be able to switch to the e-SIM service as the service is only available on a few select compatible devices.
As it stands now, the Safaricom e-SIM service is only available on a select range of iPhone and Samsung devices.
An e-SIM is a virtual Sim card embedded in smart devices including phones, tablets and wearables, and can connect to a network operator offering e-SIM services. It works the same way as a traditional SIM card, but a physical Sim card is not needed to use it.
Safaricom becomes the second telecommunications company in Kenya to introduce e-Sim technology after Jamii Telecommunications Limited (JTL) that rolled out the service for its subscribers on its Faiba network in January 2021.

With an e-Sim you do not need to worry about losing or damaging your SIM card as it is tied to the device itself. It is also ideal for frequent travelers for they can easily switch network providers as they travel.
