Kenyatta University Main Campus Location and Direction

Kenyatta University Main Campus is one of the oldest public institution in the country. It is also the second largest university in Kenya. Many people like this campus to pursue different courses at different levels such as degree, diploma and PHD. Its popularity has made receive many students from different places. Those students from rural or remote areas find it difficult to reach the main campus of Kenyatta University due to lack of direction of the university location.

Kenyatta University Main Campus is found in Nairobi county which is also the capital city of Kenya. It is located at Kahawa area in Roysambu constituency when following Thika super highway. It is a distance of about twenty kilometers away from Nairobi central Business. The university is situated close to National Bank and near to Western mess situated at one hundred and seventy meters away.

This university is also near Kamiti Prison which is situated on the west of Kenyatta University in a distance of four kilometers. Other localities in the area include; Githurai town which is three kilometers southwest of Kenyatta University, on the northeast of Kenyatta there is Ruiru town with a distance of four point five kilometers and on the southwest of the university it is Kasarani town which is situated at five kilometers away.

One can use the following bus lines to get to Kenyatta University Main Campus: Bus 145, 237 and 45K. If you are coming from Naivas Supermarket in Kasarani, it takes you about fifty minutes to reach in the university. The bus station near Kenyatta University is KU station which is found at about a distance of one thousand three hundred and five meters away.

It takes twenty four minutes to reach Kenyatta University when one is walking by foot from this bus station. The first bus that goes to Kenyatta University is Bus 145 which stops by ten minutes past six o’clock in the morning while 45K is the last bus to stop there.
