Ndere Island National Park Location and Park Charges
Ndere means ‘Meeting Place’ in the dialect of the local Luo tribe. It is one of the unique national parks that Kenya has in the western parts of the country. This park is tucked hidden in lake Victoria about 80km from Kisumu off the Kisumu Bondo Highway.
If you yearn for a greater experience, set out to Ndere Island National Park in Kisumu and enjoy the panoramic views of the rolling hills of Homa to the South of the island.
Ndere Island National Park is mostly Covered in grassland, Ndere Island provides beautiful scenic views of the Homa hills to the south, Mageta Island to the east and the glimpses of Kampala in Uganda beyond the south west horizon.

Ndere Island National Park Location and Direction
The park is located on Ndere Island one of the islands in Lake Victoria in Western Kenya about 350 kilometers from Nairobi city. The park can easily be accessed from any part of the country. It is accessible by boat from the shores of the Lake. The major wildlife attractions of the park include fish eagles, hippos, impalas, and a variety of bird species.
