Kibera
Kibera is one of the largest slams in the Africa. In Nairobi Kibera is associated with low income dwellers and high unemployment rate. This situation has seen some of unemployed youths engage in unlawful criminal activities. Mugging and robbery are common in Kibera. This happens even in broad daylight and at night the mugging and stealing cases are rampant.
Kamukunji
In Kamukunji there are several places that are unsafe for individuals and are considered dangerous places to live or visit by the Kenya Police Service. These places have high level of crime rate making them dangerous. These areas include; Ngara near railways, Huruma grounds, Eastleigh, Mathare North, Mlango Kubwa,and Kiamaiko. These places have been considered as unsafe. If it is a must you visit these area consider taking extra precaution and safety.
Ambassadeur
It is a major stage for passengers who come in Nairobi, this makes it a hotspot for muggers and robbers who are ready to still from passengers. It is not safe to walk or be at Ambassadeur especially during the night. Always be on alert as thieves are always on the hunt at this place.
Globe Cinema
Globe cinema is another hotspot for muggers and robbers who are ready to prey on their victims. Cases of theft have on several occasions been linked to Globe Cinema. It is therefore necessary to be vigilant while here. Avoid walking at such a place late night alone as it is dangerous.

Uhuru Highway
This is one place where muggers and thieves can steal from you while in the traffic jam. It doesn’t matter whether you are in a car or on foot. While traveling, always take great extra precaution while at Uhuru highway. The worst part is you can get robbed in full glare of police presence.
Nyamakima
Nyamakim is known for crime and robbery. The busy stage at Nyamakima makes it a hot spot for muggers and thieves. While at this place always pay extra attention to your handbag, wallet and phone. In no time you can find yourself a victim of the muggers who are always on the watch out.
Gikomba
Gikomba is the most famous market in Nairobi. Due to the large crowds at Gikomba market, muggers and snatchers take advantage of the crowd to steal from unaware buyers and sellers. Always take extra precaution while at Gikomba market.
Kariobangi
Kariobangi has a high crime and robbery rate making it one of the most dangerous places to visit or stay. Cases of mugging and snatching are like a norm in Kariobangi estates and it is earmarked by the Kenya Police Service as one place one should be extra careful while visiting. Most of the robbery cases are usually happen during the night. Cases of robbery with violence have also been reported in Kariobangi.
National Archives
This is one unlikely place one would think of as a dangerous place to be. However con men and thieves who pause as government officials, pastors or business people are common at National Archive. Be on a watch out always to avoid being tricked.
