Jalang’o Finally Goes Back To Kiss 100 But In Style

They say east or west, home is best,. Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o knows that too well as he is heading to his mother station where he began his career from.

Jalang’o is set to report to his new working station Kiss FM on Monday 6th July barely a month after he left  Milele FM after disagreeing with the management on change of his contract.

On Friday Jalang’o send his fans a good night message of Facebook with a caption of Kiss 100 logo. On Saturday Jalang’o showcased his new Toyota Land Cruiser V8 200 Series on his Instagram platform. In a short video he revealed that he would be going back to his old job at Kiss 100 in style.

The vehicle, whose showroom price at Toyota Kenya is Ksh21 million, had a red KG number plate as he awaits a registered number from NTSA. KG plates are short-term dealership/garage plates with a special insurance cover for vehicles awaiting number plates.

The vacancy at Kiss 100 was as a result of Kibe who hosted the show alongside kameme Goro quitting. Kibe had earlier said that he quit due to constant censorship. “I gave my notice three months ago because I was being censored on the content I could put out on national radio,” he said. This was in spite of speculation that he was due to be replaced by Jalang’o.

It now remains to be seen how Jalang’o will team up with Kamene Goro and what his impact will be. Data from GeoPoll shows that the breakfast show by Kamene and Kibe has been gaining audiences and recorded some 716,000 listeners in May 2020. The duo’s breakfast show was ranked sixth overall in the country, and the second most popular English show after sister station Classic FM’s Maina and King’ang’i.

However, Jalang’o is one Comedian who has been quoted saying he is not used to staying at one working station for so long. He admits that he likes new challenges in life.
