My name Is Naomi Moraa, the top KCSE candidate in the year 2022.I come from Kisii County. I am the only child in my family and that is because my mom died right after I was born Infact she died in the process of delivery. I have been brought up by my dad alone. Sometimes I ask my dad why he didn’t marry again but he always says that he couldn’t bring himself to love again because he loved my mother so much.
Growing up with a dad who has been a peasant isn’t easy. My dad has done his best to ensure that I get quality education. This is what motivated me to do my best so that can bring my dad out of poverty. Whenever I was in school I always avoided bad company that could distract me from studying. I always waked up ahead of all the students in the boarding school Infact the students used to call me the” book worm”because I was always buried in my books. I never hesitated to consult the teachers where I didn’t understand.
