Woman storms hospital carrying snake, claims it is husband who abandoned her

Residents of Kibokoni in Mombasa were left stunned on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, after a woman stormed a local hospital clutching a large snake which she claimed had been her husband before it transformed into the reptile as punishment for abandoning her and their three children.

Eyewitnesses said the woman walked straight through the hospital gates, bypassing security, and entered the outpatient department while loudly addressing stunned patients and staff, saying that her husband had failed to return home for weeks, only for her to discover him in this transformed state.

Several patients screamed and fled the building as she raised the snake high above her head, insisting that the creature recognised her voice and had nodded in regret when she confronted it earlier in the morning near the coastline where it appeared to have been hiding. READ MORE…
