Liquid C2 Launches Africa’s First Google Cloud Partner Experience Centre in Johannesburg
Liquid C2, a business of Cassava Technologies, has unveiled Africa’s first Partner Experience Centre powered by Google Cloud in Johannesburg. The cutting-edge facility is designed to equip partners and resellers with the tools and environment needed to move beyond traditional distribution and actively design and deploy cloud and AI solutions tailored to African markets.
The centre offers a structured onboarding journey that enables partners to achieve official Google Cloud accreditation and certification. In addition to technical training from both Liquid C2 and Google, participants can collaborate directly with specialist engineers to co-create customised solutions, which are then commercialised through Liquid’s extensive distribution network. This approach not only unlocks new revenue streams for partners but also supports job creation and the growth of Africa’s digital ecosystem.
Partners will gain access to advanced enterprise technologies, including Gemini Enterprise and a dedicated “Gemini Playspace” for rapid AI experimentation. The facility also provides expert support to prototype, test, and scale solutions in real-world scenarios, helping to address common challenges such as infrastructure gaps, limited technical skills, and operational complexity that often hinder digital transformation across the continent.
Beyond training, the Partner Experience Centre serves as a collaborative innovation hub, bringing together enterprises, startups, academic institutions, developers, and public-sector players to co-create solutions that address local challenges. It also features industry-focused platforms for sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and retail, demonstrating how AI-driven technologies can enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve customer engagement.
According to Ziaad Suleman, Senior Vice President at Cassava Technologies and CEO for South Africa & Botswana, the initiative reflects a commitment to building strong digital ecosystems by combining global innovation with local expertise and infrastructure. He noted that the centre provides a practical space for organisations to experiment, innovate, and scale impactful solutions.
Tara Brady, President of Google Cloud EMEA, described the launch as a significant milestone in advancing Africa’s digital future. She emphasised that the centre will strengthen the partner ecosystem, drive innovation, create jobs, and expand access to transformative technologies across the continent.
The initiative is anchored on three key pillars: accelerating partner enablement through hands-on training and proof-of-concept capabilities; advancing AI innovation with dedicated spaces for building and demonstrating solutions; and driving economic growth by expanding the pool of skilled professionals and creating new employment opportunities.
As part of Cassava Technologies, Liquid C2 continues to play a leading role in delivering advanced digital solutions across Africa. The launch of the Partner Experience Centre underscores its commitment to empowering partners and expanding access to cloud and AI technologies, contributing to a more inclusive and dynamic digital economy across the continent.
