The database will contain information of all Kenyan citizens and foreign nationals residing in Kenya and will serve as a reference point for ease of service delivery to the people of Kenya.

Finally I have received a message confirming that my Huduma Card is ready for collection.
Dear *****, your Huduma Card S/No: ******* has been delivered at UASIN GISHU-CENTRAL Office. For enquiry, call 0800221111.
This confirmation SMS came after three months of waiting. As to why the card was not delivered in 21 days as it had earlier been promised I do not know. Neither were issuing officer at my collection station able to explain.
So the following day I decided to go pick my card. At the collection desk am asked to produce the collection confirmation SMS I received. Am then asked to produce my ID card.

A photo of my Huduma card and the original ID are then taken. The ID and Huduma Card are handed back to me before I left the collection centre.
