How A Drowning School Boy Got Rescued
It is during the rainy season that everybody including farmers rejoice for it signifiesa good harvest. However, heavy rains have got challenges like floods, death of animals and people and many more. It was during this season of the year that our area (Bungoma county) received heavy rainfall and everyone was scared as it started causing massive damage, floods everywhere.
Some schools closed down because the classrooms were flooded but some few were still running as usual. One day evening I heard children screaming at a distance I hurried to know what was going on. At the place, school children were crowded screaming and crying bitterly because one of themdrowned as he was trying to cross the bridge on their way home from school.
The village people assembled and some young men offered themselves to dive and start looking for the boy if at all they could be lucky to rescue him. It was 3 hours of looking for the body of the boy but it was nowhere to be seen.
