WAM Morocco Debuts in Casablanca as Africa’s First Industry 4.0 Platform for Advanced Manufacturing and Future Mobility
The World Advanced Manufacturing & Future Mobility Exhibition (WAM Morocco) will make its inaugural debut in Casablanca from 20 to 22 January, establishing itself as the region’s first Industry 4.0–focused platform dedicated to advanced and intelligent manufacturing, future mobility, industrial innovation and supply-chain transformation. The event is designed to connect Morocco’s fast-growing industrial ecosystem with leading global technology providers, manufacturers and investors, accelerating technology adoption, cross-border collaboration and long-term industrial investment across Africa and beyond.
Organised by KAOUN International (DWTC), WAM Morocco is delivered in close collaboration with a strong network of regional and international partners, including MSC Pro, CDD, UM6P, Advantage Austria and Der Mittelstand (BVMW) Germany, bringing together public- and private-sector leaders committed to driving tangible Industry 4.0 transformation across borders.
“WAM Morocco is a strategic accelerator for Morocco and Africa’s emergence as global hubs for intelligent manufacturing and future mobility,” said Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International. “By connecting global expertise with regional ambition, the event unlocks new pathways for investment, collaboration and next-generation industrial growth.”
The debut edition reflects growing international confidence in Morocco’s industrial potential. WAM Morocco brings together more than 100 participating companies from over 18 countries, including Morocco, Nigeria, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Germany, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia. Global industry leaders such as Schneider Electric, SAP, Engie, Sumitomo Corporation, Zoho, Rockwell Automation, Hitachi, Vigel and Vivo Energy will showcase technologies and solutions driving large-scale Industry 4.0 adoption across Africa.
“Intelligent manufacturing is reshaping global industry, and Morocco is emerging as a place where this transformation can scale rapidly,” said a spokesperson from Schneider Electric. “Our participation at WAM Morocco reinforces our commitment to supporting the industrial ecosystem with the technology, expertise and collaboration needed to build the factories of the future.”
At the core of WAM Morocco is a high-impact conference programme delivering one of the most ambitious industrial transformation agendas in the region. Across three days, two stages and more than 60 hours of content, the programme spans four core themes and eight priority sectors, featuring over 60 global expert speakers. Key topics include data centres for future-ready industries, global capital flows into smart manufacturing, green manufacturing, future freight mobility and transport, as well as strategic discussions on AI-driven factories, industrial infrastructure sovereignty, large-scale decarbonisation and the energy transition.
WAM Morocco convenes world-class decision-makers from government, industry and finance. Confirmed speakers include Dr. Mehdi Snène, Chief AI Officer at the United Nations; Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General of NITDA (Nigeria); Dr. Ghita Mezzour, former Moroccan Minister of Digital Transition; Khalid Safir, Director General of Groupe CDG; and Yasmina Lahlou, Executive Director at Bank of Africa Group. The event will also host first-time Morocco appearances by several global leaders, including Fatou Haidara (UNIDO), Alain Sanchez (Fortinet), Maxime de Bonrepos (ENGIE) and Isaac Chetrit (Blazie Holdings), reinforcing its international stature.
Innovation and entrepreneurship are central to the exhibition. WAM Morocco will showcase promising international startups such as Xane.ai (India) and Dinabi (Spain), supported by an Invest India country pavilion that accelerates cross-border industrial innovation. The Supernova Challenge, a flagship startup pitch competition, will offer a USD 10,000 cash prize, providing Africa’s most disruptive manufacturing startups with direct access to investors, scale partners and industry leaders.
The event also brings together more than 100 global investors managing over USD 50 billion in assets under management from over 20 countries. Participating networks range from Alex Angels (Egypt) to institutional players including AMIC (MENA), Harvard Consulting (USA) and Bpifrance, facilitating capital deployment into advanced manufacturing and next-generation mobility projects.
Held in association with GITEX Africa, WAM Morocco leverages one of the world’s most influential technology ecosystems to position Morocco as a continental epicentre for Industry 4.0 and advanced industrial transformation.
WAM Morocco takes place in Casablanca from 20 to 22 January. Industry leaders, innovators and investors are invited to participate in the region’s defining platform for advanced manufacturing and future mobility.
