Trump Launches Premium High-End “Victory 47‑45” Perfume
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has added a new product to his lifestyle and political brand—an expensive perfume line named “Victory 47‑45.” Priced at $249 (approximately Ksh. 32,000) for a 3.3 oz bottle, the fragrance was unveiled on July 2, 2025, and is available in both men’s and women’s versions.
Trump, who is also vying for a return to the White House, described the scent as a symbol of “winning, strength, and success,” aligning with his long-standing branding strategy centered on triumph and boldness.
The perfume’s packaging is as distinctive as the man himself, featuring a gold bust modeled after Trump’s head atop each bottle. Through a promotional video shared on social media, Trump encouraged supporters to embrace the fragrance, calling it a celebration of victory and a testament to American pride. “Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning,” he said, referencing both his product and political ambitions.
Despite the dramatic rollout, early reviews of the product have been largely critical. Users on fragrance review platforms like Fragrantica and Parfumo have panned the scent for its poor performance. Several reviews labeled the men’s version as “nauseating,” with complaints about weak longevity and minimal scent projection.
The women’s version fared no better, described by some users as smelling like “cheap baby powder” or “grocery store air freshener.” The harshest reviews warned that the perfume was all packaging with no substance, calling it overpriced and underwhelming.
Critics from mainstream outlets have echoed these sentiments. The New Republic referred to the fragrance as Trump’s “newest scam,” arguing that the scent fails to match its extravagant presentation or price tag.
Wired compared the perfume unfavorably with other designer fragrances in the same price range, stating, “It doesn’t smell like success.” Even users on Reddit mocked the product, with one commenter joking that it smells “like spray tan, ketchup, and soiled adult diapers.”
Still, the product seems to be selling. Trump has a well-documented history of leveraging his brand to market unconventional items, including gold-plated sneakers, MAGA-themed Bibles, and NFTs.
According to recent financial disclosures, Trump’s merchandising operations, including branded perfumes, earned him millions in 2024. The “Victory 47‑45” name itself appears to reference the disputed outcome of the 2020 election, with Trump positioning himself as the rightful 47th president following a 45th-term legacy.
Marketing analysts note that while initial sales may be driven by Trump’s loyal supporter base, long-term success in the luxury fragrance industry will require repeat buyers and favorable word-of-mouth—something the scent’s early reviews may jeopardize.
