Selina Marcruz is my real name. My people Identify me as “Halima Ali”from the series” Till Forever “that is usually aired on TV 47.I grew up in the streets of Mombasa town. I fact I used to be a street kid. About my family I can’t tell I don’t know them. All I know is I used to stay with my aunt who used to mistreat me. When I was 8 I decided to run away from there because I couldn’t stand it anymore.
Life in the streets as you all know is not easy. No food, no shelter, no clothing… It’s generally bad. Another problem I faced is constant fights from other street children, however I used to be a tough guy too. I used to fight back in fact in every fight I used to win. And that how came to earn my respect from the other children.I couldn’t tell what seemed funny whenever I made comments as we were chatting with my fellow street children they used to laugh a lot. They started calling me the comedian. With me, there were smiles all over to a point that we forgot about our troubles.
