The University of Nairobi turned chaotic when a section of the students protested yesterday evening.
The irate students stormed through State House Road as they engaged police in running battles, before moving on to Valley Road.
Motorist who were driving a long the University of Nairobi were advised to use alternative route as the students resorted to lighting up fires.
The students were said to be protesting against the killing of one comrade by the name Kyte Ondeng. The comrade is said to have been abducted by unknown people on Wednesday March 4th. From that time he went missing only for his lifeless body to be found at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
The students set structures on fire in the University Compound and left a trail of destruction along the Valley road and Mamlaka Road.
They would later face the police in a running battle as the fire wracked havoc. Sections of structures at the university were set on fire during the incident.
