Shocking: Kisumu Woman Lives with Husband’s Corpse for Two Months, Believing He Will Resurrect

Residents of Nyalenda, Kisumu, were left in disbelief after a woman refused to bury her deceased husband, insisting he would come back to life. For two months, she lived with the body in her home, clinging to the hope of his resurrection.

The woman, identified as Beatrice Akinyi, lost her husband, George Otieno, to a sudden illness in October. Overwhelmed with grief, Beatrice was unable to accept his death and convinced herself that he would rise again.

“She kept telling us that George would wake up any day. She said he was only in a deep sleep,” a neighbor, Mercy Awino, recounted.

For weeks, neighbors grew suspicious of a foul smell emanating from Beatrice’s home. Despite their pleas to allow a burial, Beatrice remained adamant.

“I couldn’t believe she was living with the body all this time,” another neighbor, Joseph Ochieng, said. “We had to act before things got worse.”

Out of desperation, the neighbors sought the assistance of Kazimoto Doctors through +254741930918, renowned for their expertise in resolving complex situations.

“When we explained the situation, they assured us they could help her let go and find peace,” Ochieng added.

Kazimoto Doctors performed a cleansing ritual to help Beatrice accept the reality of her husband’s passing. They also conducted spiritual prayers to guide George’s spirit to rest peacefully.

“It was a delicate process because Beatrice was deeply attached. But after the ritual, she finally agreed to give her husband a proper burial,” a representative from Kazimoto Doctors said.

Following the intervention, George was laid to rest in a dignified ceremony attended by family and neighbors. Beatrice expressed gratitude to Kazimoto Doctors for helping her find closure.

“I now understand that he’s gone, and I need to move on. I’m thankful for the support from everyone,” she said tearfully.

The incident has sparked discussions in the community about the importance of mental health support during grief and loss.

“This should remind us to be there for those who are grieving. Sometimes, they just need a helping hand to let go,” Mercy Awino said.
