Murima aside: Kiambu woman chops off husband’s genitals after she caught him cheating
Shock and outrage gripped a Kiambu neighborhood on Sunday after a woman allegedly chopped off her husband’s genitals upon discovering that he was cheating on her. The 32-year-old woman, whose identity has been withheld, reportedly attacked her husband in their home after an intense argument escalated.
According to neighbors, the couple had been quarreling for weeks, with suspicions of infidelity being a major point of contention. “We often heard them arguing late into the night, but no one thought it could escalate to this level,” said a neighbor.
Sources indicate that the altercation began when the wife confronted her husband over alleged affairs with multiple women. When the husband reportedly dismissed her claims and attempted to leave the house, she allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked him.
The man, a 36-year-old businessman, was rushed to Kiambu Level 5 Hospital in critical condition after neighbors responded to his cries for help.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that the man underwent emergency surgery and remains in stable condition. “We were able to control the bleeding and are monitoring his recovery,” said a medical officer.
The woman was arrested shortly after the incident and is currently being held at the Kiambu Police Station. Authorities confirmed that she will face charges of grievous bodily harm.
“This is a serious case, and we are investigating further to determine the exact circumstances that led to this horrific act,” said Kiambu County Police Commander Benjamin Chege.
