NHIF has made it possible for members to pay their contribution via Mpesa Pay Bill number 200222. Members of the National Hospital Insurance Fund NHIF can now pay their monthly contributions easily Via Mpesa at the comfort of their homes. Below are the steps to follow when you pay NHIF Contributions via Mpesa.

How to Make NHIF Contributions Via Mpesa
  1. Open your Mpesa Menu
  2. Select Lipa na Mpesa
  3. Select Pay Bill
  4. Enter 2000222 as the business Number
  5. Under Account Number, Enter your ID Number
  6. Enter Amount eg Ksh.500 and press okay
  7. Enter your Mpesa PIN
  8. Confirm the details and press Okay
  9. You will receive a confirmation message from Mpesa confirming your payment
Deadline and amount of Contribution

According to the NHIF requirements, Every registered NHIF self-employed member is required to make a monthly contribution of KES 500 to their accounts. Existing members are required to pay before the 9th of every month to avoid penalties.

The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) is a public medical cover that helps Kenyans pay for medical services from accredited facilities.

Some of the services offered to NHIF members include maternal care, inpatient and outpatient services, reproductive health services, cancer treatment, renal dialysis and radiology imaging.
