How to download and print your KRA Pin Certificate

In most cases after applying for a KRA PIN most people misplace the KRA PIN certificate and it is only when it is needed that they start looking for it.

Did you know that you can get another KRA PIN reprint similar to the one you lost? By applying for a KRA PIN reprint through the KRA itax system a copy of your original KRA pin will be processed.

Look at this case study;

Hello admin,

My name is Ivan, I applied for a KRA PIN two years ago and a have just realized I misplaced it. I do not have a copy of the original KRA PIN and I have been asked to submit my KRA PIN certificate tomorrow for a job am applying. Is there any way I can get a reprint of my KRA PIN?

Following this case I decided to do an article on how you can retrieve and get a copy of your KRA PIN certificate without without having to break your back looking for the lost copy.

But first, it should be noted that once you have applied for a KRA PIN, there is no way you can apply for another one with a different KRA number from the one you had.

To get a copy of your KRA  pin, you may first need to check your email inbox using the email address you used while applying for the KRA PIN, in most cases, the itax system sends a copy of the KRA PIN to your email during the initial KRA PIN certificate application.

By opening your email and doing a search in your inbox with terms such as iTax or KRA, you will find the original KRA PIN certificate in your inbox that you can download and print.

In case the PIN certificate is missing in the inbox do not worry, follow the steps below to retrieve your KRA pin certificate;

I do not have a password.

If you do not have an iTax password it either means you are still on the old KRA system and you need to migrate your PIN to the new iTax system.

However, if your pin was already migrated and you forgot your password. Click on the forgot password button to reset your password.

Is the KRA PIN certificate different from KRA compliance certificate?

Yes, there is a big difference between KRA PIN certificate and KRA tax compliance certificate.

KRA PIN Certificate Is a document that bears taxpayers PIN  and details. On the other hand a KRA tax compliance certificate is a document issued after the tax payer has complex and paid all the necessary taxes.

While the tax certificate is permanent for a given taxpayer, the tax compliance certificate is only valid for one year upon which the taxpayer can apply for its renewal.
