Tallest Buildings in Kenya : Kenya has come a long way from the day Kenyatta International Conference Centre used to be the tallest building. Currently more sophisticated buildings have come up and Nairobi is the home to most of the tallest buildings in the country.
This tremendous growth has seen Nairobi compete on the same level with majority of cities in Africa.

The Pinnacle
The Pinnacle is an upcoming skycrapper within Nairobi and is set to be the tallest building in Kenya. The Pinnacle sits on a 2.5 (10,000 square Meters) and is located 4Km South West of the city centre. The Pinnacle will be a 70 stories building and when complete it is set to become the tallest building in Africa.
The shorter tower, at 46 floors will house the 257-room, five-star Upper Hill Hilton Hotel, the third Hilton franchise in Nairobi and the 50th on the African continent. The taller tower, with 70 floors, will feature eleven floors of commercial office space, nine floors of upscale rental retail space, and 46 floors with 210 upscale 1, 2 and 3-bedroom, serviced residential apartments.

Britam Tower
The British American Investment Company tower has a a height of 195 Metres above the ground. The Britam Tower has 32 floors. The building is set to become the second tallest building in Kenya.
Britam Tower has a total of 320,000 square feet of office space for commercial purposes. The building also has a 12 storey car park which can accommodate up to 1,000 vehicles.
Britam Tower is the international headquarters of Britam.

UAP Old Mutual
The third tallest building in Kenya is the UAP Old Mutual Tower. The building is located in Upperhill Nairobi and is owned by UAP Old Mutual Group.
The tower which is currently the second tallest building in Kenya after Britam Tower has a height of 535 fts which is equivalent to 163 metres.
Standing at an altitude of 5,700 feet above sea level, UAP Old Mutual Tower unseated Rahimtulla Tower as the highest point in Nairobi.

The Times Tower
Forth on the list is the famous Times Tower. The Times tower is also commonly referred to as the New Central bank Tower. The 140 Meters (459ft) building has 38 floors along with a 7-storey banking complex and an 11 split car park.
The building is majorly an office tower and was well designed to with stand earthquakes of high magnitude. Kenya Revenue Authority offices are located at Times Tower.

Fifth on the list is the Kings Prism Tower. The building which is located in Nairobi has 29 storey floors and stands133metres tall.

Le’Mac
Le’Mac is a 24 storey building standing 102 Metres tall. The skyscraper is located in Westlands n Nairobi.The building is Iconic for its 12mm double glazed glass on the sky-walk that juts out 2M and can hold up to 20 people at the same time.
La Mac is a mixed development with office spaces from the 1st to the 6th floor and luxurious 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments from the 8th to 22nd floor. The structure that is on 1.32 Acres of land took five years to complete.

Parliament Tower
Parliament Tower is 26 storey building located at the heart of Nairobi City. The building which is currently under construction will include an underground tunnel at a cost of Ksh110 million, that will cross under Harambee Avenue road to parliament buildings.. The building is will be 125M tall when complete.

The teleposta tower is situated along the Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi city.The building which was competed in 1999 houses Telkom Kenya and Kenya’s Ministry of Information and Communication.
Teleposta Towers is a 120M height building containing 27 floors.

The Kenya Commercial bank skyscraper is located in Upper Hill Nairobi. The building sits on a 171,800 square feet and has 21 storeys. The building has amble parking space and majorly houses KBC bank offices. The building also has rentable space.

The Kenyatta International Conventional Centre (KICC)
Formally Known as Kenyatta International Conference center, The Conventional Centre has been for long the Kenyan’s land mark structure for the Nairobi city. The building is 105.2M tall and has 28 Storeys. The KICC building is located at the heart of Nairobi City and houses a number of Government offices. KICC is a renowned venue for conferences, meetings, special events and exhibitions.
